I've had numerous emails and comments wondering where I got the pattern for the 4th of July skirt I made for Liv. It is a really easy project and super fast. It was one of the first clothing items that I ever sewed. I've made several of the skirts.

I had so much to do today but instead of marking things off my to do list I made this skirt for Liv to wear tomorrow. I made one for her last year and wanted to follow the tradition! It really didn't take me that long once I remembered how to sew that it is! Isn't she cute?
In the last few weeks I've had two fun packages arrive. Who doesn't like to go to the mailbox and actually have something else besides bills in there?!? First things first....
Lesa had me for the blog swap I hosted and she sent me a really fun package with some fun new things.
I love the dish towel she sent and as you can tell it already matches my table runner (in the background) just perfectly. I love those easel stands too and have wanted one forever. They are so multifunctional and I already took it to church to hold a picture for me while I taught my lesson. I LOVE the car freshener and with two kids bringing food in my car all the time it could definitely use it. And the new lip balm I love too. I'm pretty obsessive about only using my Burt's Beeswax lip balm but I have to admit when I tried the lip stuff I really liked it! She was even kind enough to remember my children and sent them a few things too! Thanks Lesa it was so fun getting to know you.

I've been dying over these necklaces for like a year and would constantly browse all the Etsy shops that sell them. When I found out I won-I was so excited. Well I am off to bed I am exhausted from a long day of working in our yard. Even our kids were tired they were both in bed asleep by 8:00. Which is unusual for us. Because it stays light until about 9:30 it's hard to put them to bed when it is so light outside. Livee actually fell asleep about 7:15 in her little chair watching a movie. Poor little thing has had a runny/congested nose all day and I don't think feels quite 100%.
Anyway, we are trying to get the flower beds done around our house. I've planted about 16 bushes/plants today and then laid the bark and put in the drip system. My back is killing me which tells me I am SO out of shape and I need to exercise more. But I did get some more sun on my skin. YAY for me!
Some days I'd really like to know what is going on inside this three year olds head.
{Things I don't want to forget.}
A few days ago I couldn't find Livee and I went outside to find her wearing a princess dress up and riding her princess bike. We had just bought her a brand new bike. She'd been asking for weeks for one and so we finally gave in. Her daddy took her to Wal-Mart and she picked it out. She attempted to ride it for a few days and now she has given up. If Livee can't do something just perfect the first time she doesn't want to do it at all.
Then the next day I walked into her room and this is what I found:
She said, "Look mom an 'S'. She cracks me up.
I've noticed new posts in Bloglines have slowed down tremendously because everyone is outside enjoying the nice weather. We've been outside every spare second and we have done some fun things the last few weeks but I have hardly taken any pictures.
We went to Hogle Zoo a few weeks ago and when we got there I realized I had forgotten my camera and I forgot to take pictures at the Water Park today, and forgot to take pictures of Livee and Zach scootering to "Tim Buck Two" at my moms house all week. I have to admit it's kind of nice to walk around without worrying about capturing every little moment. I have to tell myself it is okay to not take pictures of EVERYTHING.

The first person who guesses who sings that song I'll send a treat. NO CHEATING either!!
Anyway, I did want to point out that I added a bunch of new links on my sidebar of Photography/Digital Scrapbooking/Shopping links that I like. I've had a few people ask if I use actions and which ones I use. So I put the links to those two places too. Soon I'll have something more exciting to post about but until then you can catch me hanging outside working on my tan! Ha!
Everyday we get closer to Krew's first birthday and I get a little sad knowing that soon he won't be my tiny baby anymore and will be a toddler. I hate that...don't kids grow up too fast?!?
Here's his 10 month update:
*has finally started "crawling". His version of crawling looks more like swimming. It is quite hilarious but I'm just glad he's finally moving around.
*he loves to watch Baby Einstein DVD's
*has started pointing and shows us the things he wants or things he wants to show us (I think it is so cute.)
*he loves his food and I haven't found many things he won't eat. His favorite things to eat are fruit, chicken noodle, Gerber Fruit Puffs. He eats anywhere from 4-6 jars of number 3 baby foods. This boy is already eating us out of house and home.
*Can drink pretty good from a sippy cup. But still needs some work.
*Everyone says he looks tan. ??? I can't figure out if it's because he eat so many yellow/orange veggies or if he's going to have an olive complexion.
*Loves to play with the barn and all the animals.
*says dada and momma and makes the "g" "s" and "t" sounds.
*Said "Zach" while looking at a picture of Zach on the computer.
*Still LOVES to cuddle
*Loves to play patty cake, sing songs, go for walks, be outside, and any attention he gets from Liv.
*front two teeth coming through
I want another baby...................just NOT right now!!!
Hopefully everyone has mailed their blog swap gifts by now and so you should start getting fun packages in the mail. I know I can't wait! Make sure and post on your blog what you got so we can all see. I know I would love to see everything AND even find new things that I just have to have! Here's a yummy recipe I tried last week and it was tasty. Not for the calorie conscious but tasty none the less. I skipped out on the mushrooms and tomatoes because the hubby is not a fan and it was still good.

Long time blog readers know of my obsession of M5. I really am begging my husband to take me to one of the their concerts this summer. Anyone else want to go with me if I can't talk him into it???
I planted my first garden today. I've complained for the last 3 summers that I couldn't have a garden because we were always moving for the summer.
Last year we ended up staying here but I was pregnant and just getting our yard in was enough work. So, I finally decided this was the perfect year and I planted mostly everything today. I had really no idea as far as what species of plants I should plant and what we would like. I want to keep a record of everything I plant so I can remember for next year.
